PSG are preparing a €60m [$69m] move for Roma midfielder Manu Kone according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 24-year-old has been one of the standout players in Serie A this season and is now attracting major interest from his home country.

Kone who joined Roma from Borussia Monchengladbach has been a key figure under Gian Piero Gasperini.

He has played every league match this season, helping Roma maintain their push for the top four with I Giallorossi sitting at second place currently with five wins in six matches.

Kone was rested by Didier Deschamps in France’s win over Azerbaijan but is expected to start against Iceland on October 13.

French media have praised him and has even compared his performances to Blaise Matuidi during his peak years with Les Bleus.

Inter Milan reportedly had shown interest last summer but Roma refused to negotiate below €50m [$57m] for their prized asset.

PSG are now ready to test Roma’s stance as they continue to search for a successor to Marco Verratti in the heart of midfield.

Kone has recorded two goals and three assists across all competitions for Roma.

His presence has been vital, with Roma struggling to maintain control whenever he is absent from the lineup.

Kone has came through the Toulouse academy before moving to Germany, where he refined his game in the Bundesliga.
