Nottingham Forest travel back to the City Ground on Saturday with something to prove after their rich vein of form took a blow last weekend.

The Tricky Trees have been the revelation of the season, mounting a serious push for Champions League football. Despite a rare stumble against Aston Villa last weekend, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side still hold a healthy five-point cushion over sixth-placed Manchester City and remain firmly in control of their top-four destiny.

Everton, on the other hand, arrive with concerns mounting. A 1-1 stalemate with Arsenal extended their winless streak to six matches. While David Moyes has steadied the ship to an extent, the early spark under his return has faded.

The Toffees may not be in immediate danger of the drop, but if their current slide continues, a 17th-place finish isn't entirely out of the question.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Nottingham Forest vs. Everton predicted lineups, team news

Nottingham Forest's front line is still in doubt for their next match, with Chris Wood, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Anthony Elanga all having late fitness tests. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo remained mum on the three available for selection, providing no insight in his pre-match presser.

In their place, Jota Silva may get the chance to start having worked tirelessly without reward, scoring in three of his last four games—all as a substitute.

At the back, Forest will need to manage without Ola Aina, who's still recovering from a calf problem. But they will welcome back Alex Moreno, who's back in contention after being ruled out against parent club Aston Villa.

Nottingham Forest predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Sels (GK) —  Williams, Murillo, Milenkovic, Alex Moreno —Yates, Anderson — Dominguez, Gibbs-White, Jota Silva — Wood.

Injured: Chris Wood (doubtful), Taiwo Awoniyi (doubtful), Anthony Elanga (doubtful), Ola Aina
Suspended: None

Everton may be compelled to make further adjustments to the left side of their defense, with Vitalii Mykolenko not available last time out after he was brought back too quickly for the Merseyside derby.

That leaves the door open for either Nathan Patterson or Ashley Young to come in at left-back. Higher up the field, Jesper Lindstrom is still a doubt for a persistent groin issue, providing Sean Dyche with further headache decisions on the flanks.

Better news, though, was the welcome return of Iliman Ndiaye to the starting XI, and he made an impact straight away, scoring a goal to resume his position as Everton's top scorer this season. Dwight McNeil also found a place on the bench following a long time out of the action, albeit his minutes will be watched over carefully after he underwent knee surgery.

Everton predicted XI (4-5-1, right to left): Pickford (GK) —  O'Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Patterson — Harrison, Gueye, Garner, Doucoure, Ndiaye — Beto.

Injured: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (muscle), Orel Mangala (knee), Jesper Lindstrom (groin, doubtful), Vitalii Mykolenko (thigh, doubtful)
Suspended: None
