The 2020 Major League Soccer season is the 25th in the North American league's history, and it looks to be bigger than ever.
David Beckham's Inter Miami is joined by Nashville SC as this year's two expansion teams, bringing the number of clubs in MLS up to 26. Additionally, the likes of Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, Rodolfo Pizarro, Pablo Piatti and Lucas Cavallini have transferred to MLS clubs over the offseason, further expanding the league's star power.
In Canada, Toronto FC aims to make the MLS Cup final again after reaching the championship game in 2016, 2017 and 2019 (winning in 2017), while the Vancouver Whitecaps and Montreal Impact set out to get back into the postseason. Montreal will be led by legendary forward Thierry Henry, who returns to MLS as a head coach after a sterling playing career that ended with the New York Red Bulls.

Portland Timbers vs. Nashville SC
After putting up a respectable fight in their first-ever MLS game against Atlanta United, Nashville SC travel to another soccer-crazy city as they visit the Portland Timbers. Nashville did all they could to stop a potent Atlanta offense on opening day, but it wasn't enough as they lost 2-1 on the road. The Timbers are also looking for their first win of the season after losing to Minnesota United FC 3-1 last weekend. Led by captain Diego Valeri, the Timbers will be trying to rebound at home after giving up three unanswered second-half goals against Minnesota. Nashville has USMNT players Dax McCarty and Walker Zimmerman on its roster, and the Tennessee outfit would like nothing more than to cause an upset.
