Bayern Munich have had a fantastic start to the 2025/26 season, winning their first five league games and also kick-starting their Champions League journey with a win over Chelsea.
While it has been a collective effort, Manuel Neuer continues to be the primary figure for the Bavarians in goal.
The 39-year-old continues to be the main man under the sticks and still has the capability of pulling off some sensational saves.
However, with him nearing towards his 40, Bayern Munich hierarchy will be looking for options to succeed the German legend, who has apparently revolutionized goalkeeping.
Recently, Inter Milan and Brazil legend Julio Cesar came up with a Brazilian custodian who could eventually replace Neuer at Bayern Munich.
Cesar was in goal when Inter Milan won the Champions League final over Bayern Munich in 2010 at the Allianz Arena. However, now he is in Germany to celebrate the Oktoberfest.

During his visit, he interacted with Sky Sports Germany and showed praise on Neuer, as he said, "He's (Neuer) a wonderful goalkeeper, I like him a lot. He's almost 40 years old and he's still playing at the highest level. He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
When asked for suggestions to succeed Neuer at Bayern, Cesar stated, "Neuer is an idol at FC Bayern, but he is almost 40 and Bayern have to think about the future. We have a wonderful goalkeeper in Brazil: Gabriel Brazao.
Who is Julio Cesar's suggestion for Bayern - Gabriel Brazao?
Brazao made a name for himself at Cruzeiro and in January 2019 he moved to Serie A outfit Parma but unfortunately remained as their third-choice goalkeeper and never feature in any game.

He moved to Inter Milan in June 2019 on a five-year deal and was immediately loaned to Albacete in Spain. Brazao featured in some games but was mostly second fiddle to Tomeu Nadal.
The Brazilian continued to move to different clubs in Europe on loan but never really managed to secure a proper spot in any team.
Brazo also suffered a major knee injury and had disappointing loan stints at SPAL and Ternana before returned to Brazil and joined Santos in 2024.
He played a big role in helping Santos return to the Brazilian top tier last season and has cemented his position in the starting eleven over the last two seasons.
Brazao has earned a lot of plaudits from Brazilian media and former players for his recent performances and therefore Cesar has also echoed the same emotion.
However, with Jonas Urbig in line at Bayern Munich, it should be a natural succession process as the young German goalkeeper has shown enough quality last season to take up the next step whenever the opportunity comes.
