It's been a long time.

Haiti, for the first time since 1974, is coming back to the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

It'll be just the second appearance for the Haitians at the World Cup ever.

Haiti lost its three matches at the 1974 World Cup, but got a pair of goals from the legendary Emmanuel Sanon.

Who is in Haiti's World Cup group?

Haiti's World Cup group from Friday's draw includes:

  • Brazil
  • Morocco
  • Scotland

Brazil has won the World Cup five times, more than any other side in the history of the tournament.

Morocco reached the semifinals in 2022 in Qatar, the first African nation to ever make it that far.

Scotland had a heroic qualifying effort to make it in. The Scots have never made it out of the group stage in eight tries.

In the 48-team World Cup, the top-two finishers in each group advance to the knockout rounds, as well as the eight-best third-place teams.
