Uruguay find themselves in a perilous position ahead of their final World Cup group game against Ghana on December 2.

The South Americans currently sit bottom of Group H after picking up just one point and scoring no goals across their first two matches in Qatar.

A win against Ghana could still see them progress to the knockout stages but goal difference could come into play if South Korea also beat Portugal.

Ghana, meanwhile, may only need a draw to move into the Round of 16 willing South Korea fail to win against Portugal.

Ghana vs Uruguay lineups

Ghana have so far managed to not pick up any injuries in Qatar and will be hoping their experienced frontline can once again step up against Uruguay.

Expect them to stick to the same lineup that inspired them to victory against South Korea last time out.

Ghana projected lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): 1. Ati-Zigi (GK) — 2. Lamptey, 18. Amartey, 4. Salisu, 14. Mensa — 5. Thomas, 21. Abdul Samed — 20. Kudus, 10. A. Ayew, 9. J. Ayew — 19. Williams.

Uruguay switched from a 4-3-3 to a 3-5-2 against Portugal but both formations failed to deliver a goal.

Luis Suarez was benched last time out but is a player always ready to step up when needed most, while Barcelona's Ronald Araujo is yet to see any action in Qatar after requiring surgery in late September for an abductor injury.

Uruguay projected lineup (3-5-2, right to left): 23. Rochet (GK) — 2. Gimenez, 3. Godin, 19. Coates — 13. Vareia, 15. Valverde, 6. Bentancur, 5. Vecino, 16. Olivera – 11. Nunez, 9. Suarez.

Ghana vs Uruguay odds, prediction

Yet to score in Qatar, a first goal will prove crucial for Uruguay and if they can get it, it's hard to see the South Americans not claiming a crucial three points.

Ghana will do their best to soak up the pressure but with veteran strikers like Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani lurking, Uruguay will be hard to keep at bay in a do-or-die match.

Prediction: Uruguay to win 2-0
