The 2022/23 Europa League Round of 16 has reached its conclusion with now just eight clubs continuing to chase European silverware.

Manchester United were the big winners across the two-legged ties as they beat Real Betis 5-1 on aggregate to reach the quarterfinals. Although Feyenoord topped that score with an impressive 8-2 aggregate win over Shakhtar Donetsk.

Premier League leaders Arsenal, meanwhile, were dumped out on a penalty shoot-out to overcome Sporting CP. 

Elsewhere, Italian heavyweights Roma and Juventus also progressed.

Teams in 2023 Europa League Round of 16

First-place finishers in the Europa League group stage earned a bye directly to the Round of 16, while second-place teams had to take part in a playoff round against sides that came third in their Champions League groups.

The group winners got to host the second match of every series, taking advantage that any subsequent extra time or penalty shootouts would happen on their home field.
