How Cristiano Ronaldo reacted when Victor Osimhen asked for a picture after waiting 'for one hour' image

For some players, facing Cristiano Ronaldo is a dream. For Victor Osimhen, getting a photo with him took just a little more patience — about an hour, to be approx.

The Nigerian striker shared a story that football fans will find both hilarious and heartwarming.

After a 2021 clash between Napoli and Juventus, Osimhen waited outside the dressing room for a rare chance to snap a selfie with one of his heroes.

The wait? Long. The outcome? Totally worth it.

What Ronaldo said to Osimhen when asked for a picture?

Speaking in an interview with Daddy Freeze, Osimhen said, “I used to say to my friends, the day I’m going to play against Ronaldo, Messi, or Neymar... I’m taking a picture with them. I don’t care, even if we lose 10-0!”

After Napoli’s 1-0 win in Turin, Osimhen made his move. “I said to him, ‘Cris, I would like to take a picture with you.’ He said, ‘Yeah, come to the dressing room.’”

Things didn’t go quite as quickly as planned. Osimhen revealed that legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon stepped in to help. “Buffon saw me, came to me, and asked what I wanted. He went to the gym and told me Ronaldo was working out, told me to sit with him.”

So Osimhen waited — and waited. “We were just talking, it was almost 30 minutes, he was not out yet. I waited for one hour, he was still working out.”

Eventually, Ronaldo emerged. What followed was a brief but memorable moment. “He said, ‘Great game, just keep on going,’ and I shook his hand.”

Osimhen praised Ronaldo’s fitness and character, joking, “Look at the laps and the veins — you’ll think he’s 25 years old at that time.” He added, “He’s actually a great personality.”
