A new year will bring with it a new club for football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

After an ugly, early exit from Manchester United prior to the 2022 World Cup, the Portugal great sealed a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.

Ronaldo's latest deal will make him the highest-paid player in the world as he swaps club football in Europe for Asia.

Al Nassr are one of the richest clubs in the Middle East and are hoping their new star signing can get them back on track after a lean few years on the pitch.

Fans of the team will soon get their first proper glimpse of Ronaldo in Al Nassr colours when he's presented to supporters at club training this week.

Ronaldo Al Nassr presentation: Details of official unveiling

Ronaldo will be formally unveiled as an Al Nassr player on Tuesday, January 3 at 7:00 p.m. local time (11 a.m. ET).

The club are holding an open training session at Mrsool Park in Riyadh. Tickets are required but cost just 15 SAR ($4) with all proceeds going to charity.

Tuesday will also mark Ronaldo's first time meeting his new Al Nassr teammates and coach Rudi Garcia.

Is there a Ronaldo press conference?

Ronaldo's unveiling will involve a formal news conference where the Portugal star is expected to speak about his move to Al Nassr.

The press conference is expected to take place during his unveiling.

The 37-year-old is yet to talk publicly about his decision to play in Saudi Arabia so he'll likely be asked to explain the move for the first time.

When will Ronaldo make Al Nassr debut?

With Ronaldo only just linking up with his new team, it's highly unlikely he'll play any part in Al Nassr's next match at home on Thursday, January 5.

ESPN has reported that he will definitely miss that game, with his Al Nassr debut poised to come on January 14 against Al Shabab.

Both clubs are currently battling for first place so this match could allow Ronaldo to make a grand entrance if he was to steer Al Nassr to victory.

Ronaldo match schedule at Al Nassr

Al Nassr are less than halfway through their 2022/23 season meaning Ronaldo will still have plenty of time to make an impact.

Three club trophies remain up for grabs and Ronaldo will no doubt be hoping to win all three to mark a dream start to life in Saudi Arabia and justify his record-breaking wages.
