Bournemouth will host Wolves at the Vitality Stadium on August 23 as both teams search for victories on Premier League matchday 2.
The Cherries will take a lot of heart from their opening fixture against reigning champions Liverpool despite losing 4-2 at Anfield. Andoni Iraola's men were lauded for putting up great fight after going 2-0 down to then level the score through a brace from Antoine Semenyo, but Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah scored late goals to hand Liverpool all three points.
Wolves started their Premier League 2025/26 campaign with a 4-0 defeat against Manchester City, but Vitor Pereira's men hardly had anything to show for their efforts.
Although they had a couple of moments where they tested James Trafford in goal, defensively they had an off day as City attackers carved them open way too easily, with Erling Haaland scoring a brace and new signings Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki also getting on the scoresheet.
Bournemouth beat Wolves on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup when these teams last met at the Vitality Stadium, yet Wolves have otherwise enjoyed their visits to the south coast: they have not lost any of their Premier League matches at this ground.

Bournemouth will continue to miss the services of first team players like Enes Unal, Lewis Cook, Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert, who are all sidelined due to injuries.
The Cherries have added former Liverpool academy graduate Ben Doak to their already fluid attacking lineup, while Amine Adli signed from Bayer Leverkusen on Friday. However, both may start on the bench as David Brooks is expected to line up on the right with Semenyo and Evanilson leading the line for the Cherries.

Despite an underwhelming last outing, Marcos Senesi and Bafode Diakite are expected to start in defense, and Tyler Adams and Marcus Tavernier should line up in midfield to provide stability and creativity.
Bournemouth predicted starting XI (4-1-4-1, right to left): Petrovic (GK) — Smith, Diakite, Sensesi, Truffert — Adams — Semenyo, Scott, Tavernier, Brooks — Evanilson
Injured: Unal (knee), Cook (knee), Christie (groin), Kluivert (calf)
Suspended: None
Wolves are in much better state with injuries as Leon Chiwone is the only absentee for Pereira ahead of the Bournemouth trip.
They have recently confirmed the signing of Hellas Verona speedster Jackson Tchatchoua, who could replace Ki-Jana Hoever on the left flank.
Apart from that, Wolves are expected to field a similar lineup, with Jose Sa starting in goal and Matt Doherty leading three-man backline alongside Emmanuel Agbadou and Toti Gomes.
In midfield, the Brazilian duo of Joao Gomes and Andre are expected to start with David Moller Wolfe and Tchatchoua providing width on the flanks.
Meanwhile, Norwegian striker Jorgen Strand Larsen is expected to lead the line for the visitors despite speculation linking him with Newcastle United.
Wolves predicted starting XI (3-4-3, right to left): Sa (GK) — Doherty, Agbadou, Toti — Tchatchoua, Andre, Gomes, Wolfe — Munetsi, Larsen, Bellegarde
Injured: Chiwone (knee)
Suspended: None
