Bayern Munich returned to the pitch on May 17, as Canadian star Alphonso Davies' stellar 2019-20 Bundesliga campaign continued.
At left back, Davies notched a goal and four assists in 17 starts and four substitutions for the league leaders this season before things were shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On May 23, the Canadian international added to his total with a goal and an assist in Bayern's 5-2 win against Frankfurt.

“My progression here in Germany has been a really good one,” the 19-year-old told reporters on a video conference call at the end of April. “I have a good supporting staff around me and good teammates encouraging me every single day to perform on the field and to perform in training and I set high standards for myself as well knowing that Bayern Munich is one of the best teams in the world.
“Each and every day you have to perform, whether it’s on the practice ground or off the practice ground. I just want to improve each and every day.”

Back on April 20, the Edmonton star signed a five-year deal with Bayern that will take him through 2025. He joined Bayern from the Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS) back in January 2019.
