Bayern Munich starlet irked by lack of gametime, edges close to departure image

Bayern Munich are under a lot of pressure in the summer transfer window. The German champions desperately need reinforcements to defend their Bundesliga crown and contend for the Champions League

In the last few weeks, the Bavarians have faced a couple of rejections from Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams. While Wirtz preferred Liverpool, Williams is eagerly looking to make a move to Barcelona

Bayern's disappointment hasn't been limited to their transfer dealings, they have struggled to extend Dayot Upamecano's contract as of now and on the field, they suffered a shock defeat to Benfica.

Unfortunately, Bayern's concern do not end there as recent updates from Foot Mercato suggest that young sensational Adam Aznou is edging closer to departure from Bavaria.

Currently, the 19-year-old full-back is on duty with Bayern at the FIFA Club World Cup, but he has only featured in the opening clash against Auckland City that too only for eight minutes.

Aznou is a regular starter for Morocco, but he was reportedly not called up for international duty so that he could focus on securing a starting role for Bayern ahead of the Club World Cup.

Now, he is regretting his decision, and with the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled in December and January (2026), the left-back is keen to leave Bayern and seek regular gametime.

Where could Bayern Munich starlet Adam Aznou end up this summer?

Aznou received admiring glances during his youth days at La Masia in Barcelona. He was highly rated in Spain and was considered one of the future stars.

However, he moved to Bayern due to lack of opportunities and joined Bayern Munich's youth team in 2022.

Following impressive performances for the youth team, he started training with the senior team in March 2023.

In February 2024, he made his senior team debut for Bayern Munich in a Bundesliga clash against Union Berlin, where he came on as a substitute for Alphonso Davies.

He was later loaned out to Spanish outfit Real Valladolid, where he gained valuable experience and played 13 games for the La Liga outfit.

Aznou believed that in Davies' absence, he would get more opportunities, at least in the Club World Cup, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case until now.

Vincent Kompany has preferred the more experienced Raphael Guerreiro at left-back over the Moroccan. Guerreiro has been the preferred starter for Kompany in all three games.

Aznou reportedly is looking for a return to Spain. The teenager is primarily looking for gametime, and clubs like Getafe and Real Betis have enquired about him.
