Manchester United are making moves in the transfer market, and their second signing of the summer looks just about done.

After sealing a big-money move for Matheus Cunha, United are now reportedly set to confirm the arrival of young striker Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre.

The 18-year-old has been on the club’s radar for months. Reports (via Manchester Evening News) say Kana-Biyik flew to Manchester in April to sort out the details.

Since then, it’s just been a matter of crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s. Now, the announcement is apparently expected soon, with the French teenager joining on a free transfer.

Kana-Biyik didn’t make a senior appearance at Le Havre, but he trained regularly with the first team. He also scored nine goals and added one assist in just 16 games for the U-19s.

For a player who’s still learning the ropes, that’s a strong return. And United clearly see something special in him.

United’s youth policy still going strong

While fans are eyeing marquee names, United’s scouting team is working just as hard behind the scenes. Under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s watch, the club is chasing not just stars of today, but stars of tomorrow.

The idea is clear: build from the ground up, and maybe even land the next Paul Pogba.

Some reports suggested the striker might head out on loan to Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport — also owned by INEOS — but that’s not locked in.

A strong pre-season could change the picture. And if he impresses early, don’t be surprised if he’s fast-tracked into Ruben Amorim’s plans.

For now, the focus is on making the move official. Once that’s done, the real test begins — proving he can handle the weight of the red shirt.
