Man United edge closer to transfer after 'personal terms almost agreed' image

Manchester United are closing in on a new signing as talks progress for Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

According to Fabrizio Romano, personal terms are “almost agreed,” with the club pushing to wrap up the deal before the transfer window closes.

United appear keen to move quickly, as clubs from France and Italy are also monitoring the Belgian shot-stopper.

Reports suggest that the final push could depend on outgoing transfers at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils still working on player exits to free up space in the squad.

Why Man Utd want to sign Senne Lammens?

At 23, Lammens is seen as one for the future but already has valuable first-team experience. He became Antwerp’s number one last season, playing 44 matches, keeping 10 clean sheets, and showing calmness under pressure.

That form has apparently convinced United scouts that he could be a strong option to compete for the starting role.

With Andre Onana sidelined through injury and Altay Bayindir struggling in his rare outings, the need for another reliable goalkeeper has grown urgent.

Lammens, who has also been linked with Inter Milan, is reportedly open to the move and sees Old Trafford as a chance to test himself at the highest level.

United’s goalkeeper situation has been a talking point since the season began. Bayindir’s recent mistake against Arsenal underlined the problem, as he flapped at a corner and nearly scored in his own net.

Club legend Gary Neville even stressed that finding a new keeper was “imperative” for Erik ten Hag’s team.

For United, this deal could be more than just adding depth — it could be a safe pair of hands for the future. If completed, Lammens would join Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo as part of the club’s busy summer rebuild.
