Benjamin Sesko seems to have picked his team between Newcastle United and Manchester United.

As per Sky Sports News, The 22-year-old striker from RB Leipzig is leaning toward a move to Man United, despite Newcastle making the bigger offer.

Both Premier League clubs have been pushing hard to sign the Slovenian forward.

Newcastle reportedly made a second bid worth just under £70 million plus add-ons. Manchester United’s offer? A bit less — around £65 million up front and close to £9 million in add-ons.

So why would Sesko choose United over more money at Newcastle?

As one source put it (Gabriel Agbonlahor via talkSPORT), "The player can say: ‘Listen, I want to go to Manchester United or I’m staying here. It’s simple as that.’ Players have got a little bit of power in these situations. Manchester United have done it cleverly; they haven’t put a bid in until they know exactly he wants to join them.”

RB Leipzig haven’t made their final call yet, but inside the club, the feeling is they’ll let Sesko make the decision.

The player trained indoors on Tuesday and was missing from Leipzig’s recent friendly against Atalanta. He has already told teammates he’s leaving.

Looks like the Red Devils are winning this race.

Why Benjamin Sesko wants Man Utd transfer move?

So, what’s the appeal of Old Trafford? It’s not just the bright lights or the history. United are planning for a long-term rebuild, and Sesko would be a key part of it.

With Rasmus Hojlund’s future uncertain, Sesko could lead the line — not just warm the bench.

There’s even talk that Leipzig might want Hojlund in return, at least on loan. But nothing’s agreed yet.

For Newcastle, it’s been a window full of near misses. Hugo Ekitike? Gone to Liverpool. Joao Pedro? Picked Chelsea. And now, Sesko might be the latest striker to slip away.

If the deal goes through, it could also end any hope of Alexander Isak joining Liverpool — unless Newcastle find a top-quality replacement.
