Manchester City are all set to lock horns against Moroccan side Wydad AC in their first match of the 2025 Club World Cup, on June 18, at Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Man City are also having quite a busy time in the summer transfer window, with reports heavily linking several names with a potential move to the Etihad.
Earlier, Man City head coach Pep Guardiola mentioned that 'new faces' will be seen in the squad over the summer, which cast doubts on the futures of the existing players at the club.
One such name in the Guardiola clan whose future has been looking uncertain lately is Jack Grealish. The Catalan coach also recently hinted that the midfielder may not be on the receiving end of regular gametime, similar to the last two seasons, adding to the existing list of doubts.
What's next for Jack Grealish at Man City?
While doubts over his situation at the Etihad in the upcoming season already persist, Grealish is also expected to be left out of the Man City squad for the Club World Cup, according to BBC Sport.
Even though the 29-year-old is reported to have options for a potential move away from Man City to secure regular minutes on the pitch and a fresh start, Grealish's current contract until the summer of 2027, may turn out to be restrictive.
