The Mancunian club is said to be inquiring about buying back James Trafford from Burnley, according to Fabrizio Romano.

City sold Trafford to Burnley in 2023 and included a buy-back clause in the deal. The clause is worth £40m, but City are trying to negotiate a lower fee.
Trafford has agreed to the move should the two clubs find an agreement about his price, and if one of City's goalkeepers secures a move away.
Trafford had 29 clean sheets in the Championship last season, helping Burnley secure promotion back to the Premier League.
The goalkeeper is also only 21 years old, which Pep Guardiola and his staff see as an investment with long-term potential.
