Chelsea are hoping to offload two of their outcasts to the Saudi Pro League before their transfer window shuts on September 23.

Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi are both surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and were linked with exits during the recently concluded summer transfer window.

Sterling had attracted some interest from Fulham, Besiktas, Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli, but a move failed to materialise. Disasi, meanwhile, was on the list of clubs such as West Ham, Bournemouth and Wolves, but also ended up staying.

However, neither of the moves materialised, and now the duo face the possibility of no football until January unless they secure a move away from the club.

Chelsea are coming off the back of a busy summer transfer window that saw numerous incomings and outgoings at the club.

Despite offloading a number of excess players at the club, they were unable to get rid of Sterling and Disasi and are hoping to do so before the month goes out.

Chelsea look to offload Sterling and Disasi to Saudi Pro League

According to a report by CaughtOffside, Sterling and Disasi remain available despite failing to agree moves away from Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Chelsea are adamant that they want to offload both players and will hope to find suitors from Saudi Arabia in the coming days.

There is some hope that Chelsea will be able to offload at least one of Sterling and Disasi this month, according to one source.

“Chelsea are willing to negotiate, possibly for lower asking prices now,” our source said. “At least one deal could go through before the winter window closes in Saudi Arabia.

“Sterling and Disasi are not in Enzo Maresca’s plans. The club would prefer permanent exits over loaning them out again.”

Having trimmed down their squad significantly in the summer, the Blues would do well to sell Sterling and Disasi, as they are one of the few players left who are not part of Enzo Maresca’s project at the club.
