Chelsea are reportedly working on a deal to bring Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United to Stamford Bridge, with hopes of securing the winger for around £35 million.

United had initially valued the 21-year-old at £70m earlier in the summer but are now said to be willing to accept closer to £50m.

The Blues, however, believe the player’s situation at Old Trafford could help drive the price down further.

Garnacho has apparently been told he can leave by United boss Ruben Amorim after falling out with him at the end of last season.

The Argentina international has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, according to reports (via talkSPORT), and appears keen to stay in the Premier League despite interest from across Europe.

His preference for Stamford Bridge leaves Chelsea in a strong position to negotiate.

Napoli made two failed bids for Garnacho back in January, but this summer it is Chelsea leading the chase.

The winger scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists last season, yet his relationship with Amorim soured after being left on the bench for the Europa League final.

Do Chelsea really need Garnacho?

Chelsea already have several wide players, but Garnacho would offer pace, direct running, and a knack for big moments — qualities the team sometimes lacks.

With questions over the form and fitness of other attackers, adding a young winger with Premier League experience could help. He can play on both flanks, which might give Enzo Maresca more flexibility in attack.

Talks between the two clubs are ongoing. United see Garnacho’s sale as a chance to boost their transfer budget, with homegrown players bringing in pure profit on the books.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are confident they can reach an agreement soon — possibly before the week is out.

The clock is ticking, and fans on both sides will be watching closely. If Chelsea pull this off, they might just add another spark to their attack — and leave United with one less joker in their deck.
