FC Barcelona is currently 4th in the La Liga table after three matches played. Hansi Flick's team won two games and drew one. The season has just started, but some fans are concerned about the performances so far.
Despite the team having only played three games, some fans believe the team may not replicate the season they had before. There have been a couple of changes in the sqaud, and Hansi Flick was not happy with his team after the 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano.
After the game, Hansi Flick mentioned that he wants his team not to have egos and wants players to play for the team rather than being selfish. The German coach did not name a specific player, but he wanted to make the message clear that his team needs to work more together.
Hansi Flick: "I think we speak about the team, not about the players... [I want that] everyone is 100% committed with this club and with this team. This is the most important thing for us. No egos because the egos kills every success. I think last season we played as a team, as one unit, and we have to go back like this."
Many Barcelona fans are speculating on which player Flick is referring to, but what made it more concerning is that Barcelona star also said something similar.
Pedri on the current FC Barcelona team
In an interview with Radioestadio Noche, Pedri was asked about the new season so far with FC Barcelona. Despite it being early, Pedri points out a couple of changes so far within the team.
Pedri's statement on the team sparked speculation online that there is tension within the team. Pedri suggests that the team last season would work harder for each other than now. He did not mention any names.
Pedri was asked about Hansi Flick's words about selfishness ruining success, and Pedri believes the coach will let the sqaud know who he is referring to.
Pedri: "Last year, we all ran for each other, not for personal glory. That’s how teams win titles — by leaving egos aside... I don’t know, I think he’ll tell us when we return from the break."
