Barcelona star wants 'world-class' winger amid Nico Williams saga image

Barcelona seem to be at a standstill in their chase for Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams. The club has been linked with other wingers, but Williams is their top target.

Barcelona's Dani Olmo has been enjoying his holiday, but he also appears to be on the hunt to help the Catalan giants recruit a winger. Olmo is an international teammate of Williams, but the Spaniard has another player in mind to join the Spanish club.

Who does Olmo want at Barcelona?

Olmo has reportedly spoken to Liverpool's Luis Díaz. The midfielder has said that Díaz is a "world-class player, and Barca should have the best players."

Barcelona were interested in Díaz last summer, but Liverpool held firm on their stance that the Colombian would stay with the Merseyside club.

Díaz has been linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer, but the England giants are convinced that he will stay. Bayern Munich have approached Liverpool about Díaz, but Arne Slot remains stubborn to lose the player.

Díaz had 13 goals and five assists in the Premier League this season, but Liverpool have also added Florian Wirtz to their ranks, which could push Díaz down the pecking order.

Should Barcelona fail to sign Nico Williams, they could make a move for Díaz if Liverpool choose to sell him. Manchester United's Marcus Rashford is also on the Catalan giants' radar if all else fails.
