Arsenal’s summer business shows no signs of slowing down. And now, it seems their next signing is just days away from being official.

Spanish defender Cristhian Mosquera has confirmed he is leaving Valencia — and all signs point to North London as his next stop.

The 21-year-old center-back, who has been a regular in La Liga over the past two seasons, said an emotional goodbye to teammates and staff at Valencia’s Paterna training ground on Monday.

He didn’t train with the group but showed up to collect his things, sign autographs, and, most importantly, mark the end of his time at the club he’s called home since he was 12.

“Valencia is my home and it always will be. I arrived when I was 12, and now I'm leaving as a grown man, a little sad because you've been here your whole life, but decisions in football are like that. Now a new era begins,” Mosquera told Marca.

While Mosquera did not name Arsenal directly, multiple reports in Spain and England confirm the Gunners are on the verge of finalizing the deal.

A medical is scheduled in London, with Arsenal expected to pay over €20 million in total, including bonuses.

Who is Cristhian Mosquera? The potential new Arsenal signing

Mosquera is no rookie. He’s already played 80 league games for Valencia and was a trusted name under both Ruben Baraja and Carlos Corberan.

Strong in the air, composed on the ball, and only 21, he fits Arsenal’s need for depth behind William Saliba and Gabriel.

He also turned down a move to Serie A and a contract extension from Valencia — making it clear the Emirates was his preferred destination. For Gunners fans, that's a sign of intent.

With Mosquera set to fly in for his medical, the Gunners look ready to add another piece to Mikel Arteta’s puzzle. If everything goes to plan, Arsenal will soon have another young talent ready to gun for glory.
