The availability of Winnipeg Jets forward Jonathan Toews was a question mark heading into their season opening game today as they face off against the Dallas Stars.
Toews suffered an injury during a Jets preseason game last week. The minor tweak caused the team to precautionarily place the legendary forward on IR as they awaited results from the evaluation. But, there was worry the setback would cause Toews to miss the start of the season.

This will be a highly anticipated game across the NHL as the league watches Toews complete his long awaited comeback. Toews will likely line up in a 2nd line center role to start. This will be Toews' first time in action since the 22-23 season when he suited up for the Chicago Blackhawks.
