Easton Cowan has had flashes in his rookie season with the Toronto Maple Leafs that point to a bright future.
The latest came Thursday night, when Cowan called game in overtime.
In the process, Cowan made a bit of Maple Leafs franchise history. He's the second-youngest player to score an OT winner in Toronto's history.
The only guy to do it younger was his current teammate, Auston Matthews, who actually did it three times younger.
Cowan was 20 years, 233 days when he achieved the feat, thanks to this list from Sportsnet:

Cowan is on his own mini hot streak. He's scored in back-to-back games.
He's now up to six goals and seven assists on his rookie season, not a bad output as he plays just 14 minutes a night.
And he might just be hitting his stride now, too.
