Sid the Kid isn't a kid anymore.

Now, Sidney Crosby is a hockey legend.

The Pittsburgh Penguins' all-time great proved that in yet another way on Sunday. That's when he called game on a 5-4 overtime win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

First, Crosby assisted on the goal that forced overtime.

And then in the extra period, Crosby finished it off himself.

Remarkably, it was the 50th overtime point of Crosby's NHL career. And no one has ever reached that mark before.

The overtime rules have changed throughout the years, but not in such a way that has really changed Crosby's output too much. The current 3-on-3 format does invite some more scoring, so that doesn't hurt.

But this is just as much about Crosby as anything. He's just as adept at setting up his teammates as he is scoring himself.

The life-long Penguins superstar is 38 years old now, but it doesn't seem to matter. He's having a special season anyway, and this milestone is just one more reminder of his greatness.
