The Pittsburgh Penguins are ready for the 2025-26 season to rock and roll.

Opening Stretch: Rivalry Spotlight

Pittsburgh starts under the lights of Madison Square Garden on Oct. 7 (8 p.m. ET), then hosts a two-game set with the Rangers on Oct. 9 and Oct. 11 (both 7 p.m.). The Penguins then head west for a California road swing, at Anaheim (Oct. 14, 10:30 p.m.), Los Angeles (Oct. 16, 10 p.m.), and San Jose (Oct. 18, 10 p.m.).

November: travel marathon and rival returns

The Penguins play 14 games in November, including six on the road. They face Washington on Nov. 6 (7:30 p.m.), then take on the Kings, Devils, and Wild in a tough mid-month stretch. A neutral-site series vs. Nashville on Nov. 14 and 16 gives the month a unique feature.

A Toronto home game on Nov. 29 (7 p.m.) headlines the holiday weekend slate.

They’ll wrap the year with Carolina at home (Dec. 30) after stops in Chicago and Toronto.

January brings a 15-game load with trips to every Western hub. Pittsburgh visits Seattle (Jan. 19, 5 p.m.), Calgary (Jan. 21), Edmonton (Jan. 22), and Vancouver (Jan. 25) before closing the month at home vs. Chicago (Jan. 29) and the Rangers (Jan. 31, 3:30 p.m.).

February: light month before Olympic Pause

The Penguins host Ottawa (Feb. 2), visit Rangers (Feb. 3, 7:30 p.m.), and play Buffalo (Feb. 5) before the NHL’s Olympic break (Feb. 6–25). Action resumes Feb. 26 vs. New Jersey.

March: playoff push begins

A busy 16-game March starts with Vegas (Mar. 1) and continues with Boston (Mar. 8, 4:30 p.m.) and Colorado (Mar. 24). The Penguins also visit Vegas (Mar. 12) and Utah (Mar. 14) in a long mid-month road stretch.

April: division deciders

The Penguins close strong with Florida back-to-back games (Apr. 4–5), then a final rivalry week featuring New Jersey (Apr. 9) and a home-and-home with Washington (Apr. 11–12).

The regular-season finale comes Apr. 14 at St. Louis (9:30 p.m.).
