Canada took care of business in the preliminary stage of the World Juniors, coming away with wins against each team in its group and capturing an advantageous position in the tournament portion of the event.

What Canada hopes will be a three-game run to a title begins Friday with a matchup against Slovakia, the fourth qualifier from Group A. Slovakia went 1-3 in group play, but all three losses came by just one goal, including a game that put a serious scare into the United States.

Canada has overmatched teams in the World Juniors to this point, but Slovakia has hardly made anything easy for its opponents.

A win on Friday would take Canada one step closer to winning a championship on American soil, though the U.S. Might stand in Canada's way before a champion is crowned.

Here's what you need to know to watch Canada face Slovakia in the quarterfinals of the World Juniors on Friday night.
