On Monday, the NHL released the full All-Star rosters for each of its four divisions in anticipation of All-Star Weekend on Jan. 24-25, but one spot on each team remains vacant.

For the second consecutive season, the league will allow fans to select those final four players from a list of 31 determined by the league's hockey operations department. The highest voted players in each division (each NHL team will have one candidate) will be added to their respective team's roster.

Dubbed 'Last Men In,' voting will open to the public on Jan. 1 at 12 p.m. ET via the NHL's website and mobile app, and closes Jan. 10 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

What is the Last Men In vote?

This is the second straight season in which the NHL has conducted its Last Men In vote — in which fans can select the final four players to participate in All-Star Weekend.

Between Jan. 1 at 12 p.m. ET and Jan. 10 at 11:59 p.m. ET, fans can select as few as one player per ballot and as many as four players per ballot. Each fan may cast a maximum of 10 ballots in a 24-hour period between the time voting opens on New Year's Day and when it closes on Jan. 10.

How does the Last Men In vote work?

The league's hockey operations department selected 31 players — one from each team — who did not make the original All-Star rosters as candidates for the Last Men In vote. Fans will be able to vote for these players between Jan. 1 at 12 p.m. ET and Jan. 10 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

When voting ends, the highest vote-getters in each division will be placed onto their division's rosters for All-Star Weekend.
