He's certainly never been a major goal scorer as a defenseman, but Fox is a better point getter than most blue-liners.
Last season, Fox closed strong to finish with 10 goals.
He has scored double-digit goals in each of the last four seasons, and in all four of those campaigns had at least 60 points.
The Rangers certainly enjoyed Fox's most recent outing. He put up two goals and an assist to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins, 6-1, on Saturday.
Fox had also scored a goal in a 4-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres.
No Rangers had scored in their season opener, when they were shutout 3-0 by the Penguins.
If Fox can keep up anything close to this pace, the Rangers will certainly have a fun season ahead. It's safe to expect him to slow down a bit, but he's certainly in a groove right now.
