There's a quarterback in Minnesota after all.
The Vikings might just have to convince the Wild to let them borrow the most accurate QB in town for a little while.
The jokes came quickly to Minnesota sports fans on Thursday night after an exquisite goal on the ice by the Wild.
The so-called QB in this case was Jake Middleton, the veteran defenseman, who lofted a pass diagonally down the ice toward Vinnie Hinostroza.

Hinostroza gathered it in with his glove, plopped it down on the ice in front of himself and ripped it into the net for a goal.

It was quite the finish, putting the Wild up 2-0 en route to a 4-1 win.
The pinpoint accuracy on the Middleton deep pass didn't exactly remind Vikings fans of their QB, J.J. McCarthy.
Minnesota Vikings might ask Jacob Middleton to play QB next season 😅

At least the Wild are good, now 31-14-10 on the season, trying to make up for the sadness that was the Vikings' campaign that missed the playoffs.
Minnesota fans will surely get behind this team in hopes of backing a winner as the winter rolls on.
