The Edmonton Oilers traded for Tristan Jarry to improve their goaltending situation.
On Thursday night, things took a turn for the worse when Jarry was injured.
On Friday, the Oilers made a roster move that doesn't suggest great things. Connor Ingram is being called up by Edmonton, according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, who adds, "don't think the Oilers know the full picture yet (on Jarry)."
Jarry left Thursday night's game after apparently injuring himself on a slide across the crease.

The fact that Jarry got hurt in that manner, seemingly, suggests something muscular, which can have a wide variety of possibilities.
Hockey teams don't have super intense injury reporting systems, so it's not clear when Oilers fans will get a more clear update.
But for now, it appears Calvin Pickard will be the starter with Ingram as his backup.
The Oilers just traded for Jarry from the Pittsburgh Penguins, sending Stuart Skinner in the other direction in a five-asset deal.
Obviously, there's no way Edmonton could've predicted an injury to Jarry. But it has the potential to derail what seemed to be a smart plan.
