Oilers reveal how long goalie Tristan Jarry will be out with injury image

The new guy, Tristan Jarry, is already injured.

The Edmonton Oilers worked a deal that sent goalie Stuart Skinner in a trade to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Jarry last week.

But Jarry is already going to miss some time with an injury.

Jarry appeared to get hurt on a nondescript moment in the crease. He was just sliding from one side to the other, and it appeared Jarry tweaked something in his lower body in the move.

Now, we have some idea of how long Jarry might be out.

How long is Tristan Jarry out?

Jarry is going to be out for a "few weeks."

That's what Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters on Sunday.

Who are the Oilers' other goalies?

The Oilers have two other goalies.

The first, Calvin Pickard, was already on the NHL roster and was backing up Skinner and then Jarry.

The other, Connor Ingram, was called up from the AHL.

Both will likely see time in Jarry's absence. Neither has played well this season, and so this will be a case of riding the hot hand.
