Oilers' Connor McDavid put on turbo speed vs. Maple Leafs that no one else in NHL has image

What Connor McDavid did on Saturday night for the Edmonton Oilers against the Toronto Maple Leafs doesn't look real.

He hit a turbo button that no one else in the NHL has access to.

Or put another way, McDavid went into fast forward while everyone else was on regular speed.

The opening goal of the matchup was absolutely magical. McDavid got the puck in the middle of the ice and accelerated in such a way that's truly hard to believe.

Just watch it, and then watch it again, and again:

What in the world?

That's a real goal.

It seems like it can't possibly be real.

McDavid is on a whole different level.

It's why the Leafs hoped to get him at the end of this season.

But with a two-year extension, McDavid delayed any decisions like that for a few more seasons.

Which means that the Maple Leafs, and everyone else, will continue to have to figure out how in the world you slow that down.
