Connor McDavid continues to prove night in and night out that there isn't another hockey player on the planet like him.

The Edmonton Oilers' superstar is heading into Christmas on an absolute heater.

McDavid has 67 points. That's the most any player has had before Christmas in the last 25 years:

That breaks down as 23 goals and 44 assists for the 28-year old Canadian.

McDavid is also on quite the stretch heading into the holiday:

  • 12/16: 2 goals, 2 assists
  • 12/18: 1 goal, 1 assist
  • 12/20: 1 goal
  • 12/21: 1 goal, 2 assists
  • 12/23: 5 assists

The five-assist night for McDavid on Tuesday is an absolutely crazy one, because the Oilers beat the Flames, 5-1.

If McDavid wasn't on the ice, Edmonton wasn't scoring. But if the puck touched McDavid's stick at some point in the move, it turned to goal.

With the Olympics not far off, too, this is incredible form for McDavid and a big deal for Canada's chances of a gold medal. If he keeps rolling like this, he'll be tough to stop.
