DALLAS  — Jason Robertson delivered his sixth career hat trick Saturday, sparking the Dallas Stars to a 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Robertson’s three consecutive goals powered Dallas to its fifth straight win. The Stars have registered points in 12 of their last 13 games and set a new franchise record by scoring 14 consecutive goals, a streak that began on November 11 against the Ottawa Senators.

“This is probably our most complete game from start to finish of the season,” Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said. “With everything we’ve been trying to do here, I thought we’re building it into a well-rounded group right now”.

Robertson tied Neal Broten and Steve Payne for seventh in career hat tricks with the franchise. He also extended his streak of three-point games to three. “When you get one or two, the confidence goes up, and the shots get maybe a touch harder and a little more accurate. It’s hockey,” Robertson said.

Tyler Seguin notched a goal and an assist, giving him 35 points in 30 career games against the Flyers. Lian Bichsel chipped in his first goal of the season and delivered eight hits, placing himself among the select Stars with three eight-hit games in a single campaign.

Jake Oettinger made 20 saves, and the Dallas penalty kill remained perfect over the past four games. “We played well in the D-zone and got rewarded in their end,” Oettinger said. “When Robertson has swagger and confidence like that, he is one of the best players in the world”.

The Flyers managed a third-period goal from Sean Courturier but could not generate much attack. “Just the first period, just backing in. We just backed in too much. Then we decided the second period—we actually played a good second, but it was too late. You’re chasing the game,” Flyers coach Rick Tocchet said.

Dallas has now defeated Philadelphia at home in nine straight meetings since 2019. The Stars return to practice Sunday at Comerica Center. Dallas holds a 12-4-3 record, and Philadelphia falls to 9-6-3.
