The NFL has arrived in Madrid.
Jayden Daniels won't be on the field for the Washington Commanders, though.
Daniels is one of the marquee reasons to send a team like the Commanders to a spotlight international game.
Instead, though, Washington will have Marcus Mariota playing QB against the Miami Dolphins.

Why isn't Jayden Daniels playing today?
The Commanders' second-year QB was ruled out early for this week, a second absence after dislocating his left elbow in Week 9.
Washington has not placed Daniels on Injured Reserve, which comes with a mandatory four-game absence, at minimum.
After Sunday, the Commanders have their bye, so Daniels will get a built-in off week.
When is Jayden Daniels coming back?
The Commanders have already said they'd evaluate Daniels again after their Week 12 bye.
He missed Week 10 and will miss Week 11 with his injury.
"It's a good deal with no surgery," Commanders coach Dan Quinn said on Nov. 7. "Obviously, that makes a big difference when you have an injury not to go down that road."
The lack of surgery leaves the door open for Daniels. But the Commanders are also 3-7, so if there's nothing to play for by the time Daniels is healthy, he may not return this season after all.
