The Washington Commanders are navigating their Week 4 game against the Atlanta Falcons without two key offensive players in wide receiver Terry McLaurin and quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Daniels is missing his second straight game due to a knee sprain, while McLaurin was hurt in Week 3 and is now missing his first game of the 2025 season due to a quadriceps issue.
During the week, Daniels was able to turn in two limited practices, but he sat out on Friday before being ruled out. Meanwhile, McLaurin did not practice at all over the course of the week.
So, when can we expect to see McLaurin and Daniels again?
Here's what we know.
When is Terry McLaurin coming back?
It remains unclear exactly when McLaurin will be back. Head coach Dan Quinn called him week to week, so it's possible he misses at least two games.
"He's working as hard as he can to come back from it," Quinn said. "He's putting all the work in. I would say he's week-to-week as we're hitting it and see what next week brings and where he's at.
"When it turns, then it goes quicker. So we'll just see where he gets into next week," Quinn added.
We don't like McLaurin's chances of suiting up next week because of the fact that he didn't log a single practice ahead of the Week 4 contest versus the Falcons.
But the fact that McLaurin wasn't placed on injured reserve suggests he could be back within four weeks. He is also expected to avoid surgery, so that's more good news.
When is Jayden Daniels coming back?
Daniels made progress early in the week after he was limited at practice on Wednesday and Thursday after not practicing at all last week.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Daniels is expected to be back in Week 5 versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
