The Washington Commanders will once again be without quarterback Jayden Daniels in Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season. Washington will turn to backup quarterback Marcus Mariota against the Kansas City Chiefs for "Monday Night Football."
Daniels missed two games earlier in the season due to a knee strain. He returned for three games, but then suffered a hamstring strain against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. During the FOX NFL pregame show on Sunday, analyst Jay Glazer said that Daniels was going to test his hamstring in workouts. He added that Washington thinks that he has a chance to return in Week 9.
