You just cannot make up how bad the Washington Commanders have been hit by injuries at wide receiver this season.

Terry McLaurin has missed several games in 2025 with a quadriceps injury. He did manage to return after a four-game absence, but McLaurin didn't last long and reaggravated the injury before going back on the shelf.

We've also seen Deebo Samuel miss one game, and both Noah Brown and Luke McCaffrey are on injured reserve, with the latter being out for the season.

Now, the Commanders have yet another injury at wide receiver. The team revealed on Monday that Treylon Burks, who was signed last week, will not travel with the team to Madrid and has been ruled out for Week 11.

After that was announced, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Burks had surgery on his finger. The good news is, Burks isn't expected to miss much time.

"Commanders WR Treylon Burks underwent surgery today on his finger. It is not expected to be a long-term issue, but it is enough to knock him out for Sunday," Schefter reported.

Burks has appeared in two games with the Commanders since he was cut by the Tennessee Titans and landed in Washington. He had his best game in Week 10, totaling three catches for 58 yards.

Burks' career has been marred by injuries, so this is nothing new for him.

Burks suffered a fractured collarbone in the summer that kept him out for the first eight weeks of the season. He has also dealt with multiple concussions, knee issues and foot injuries during his career.

With Burks, McLaurin, Brown and McCaffrey out, it's going to be a heavy dose of Samuel, who will be flanked by Chris Moore and Jaylin Lane.
