Marshon Lattimore arrest details: Latest news on Commanders CB facing weapons charges in Ohio image

Washington Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested on Wednesday night with charges related to carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. 

This is the second time that Lattimore has been arrested in the last four and a half years for a weapons-related charge. The arrest occurred near Cleveland, Ohio, on Wednesday evening.

The Commanders have been made aware of the arrest and said they have notified the NFL and are working with the league office, and currently don't have further comment.

Lattimore was arrested on Wednesday, January 7, per WUSA, on weapons charges. The specific chargers were carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. 

The Commanders released a statement that said, "We have been made aware of the arrest and are gathering more information. We are in communication with the NFL League Office and have no further comment at this time."

Lattimore was arrested at approximately 6:14 p.m. ET in Cuyahoga County near Cleveland, Ohio.

Lattimore was arrested on "charges of carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, according to police."

This is not the first time that the Commanders' cornerback has been arrested. Lattimore was arrested back in March 2021. He was a passenger in a car that was stopped for traffic violations. Lattimore was found to have a gun on him that was both loaded and stolen. He was initially charged with a fourth-degree felony for "possessing a loaded handgun that was believed to be stolen." 

Lattimore eventually pled guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge of "failing to promptly inform officers that he was carrying a concealed handgun." He was sentenced to one year of probation and had to pay a $1,000 fine.
