The Washington Commanders won't have starting running back Chris Rodriguez in the lineup for the Week 15 game against the New York Giants, which opens the door for more work for Jacory Croskey-Merritt.
Rodriguez, who has had lead-back duties for each of the last three games, entered the weekend as questionable to play due to a groin injury, but he is now officially inactive for Sunday.
This now presents a massive opportunity for Croskey-Merritt, but is he someone we can trust in fantasy football lineups this week?
Here's what we think.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt start or sit advice
Even after being demoted, JCM has averaged seven touches per game. We see that at least doubling this week with Rodriguez out.
Along with good volume, another reason to be optimistic about Croskey-Merritt is the fact that he draws a matchup against a Giants defense giving up the second-most fantasy points per game to running backs this season.
We like Croskey-Merritt as a flex option in Week 15.
