Chris Rodriguez Jr. Shaped up with a great matchup for Week 15.
Fantasy football managers relying on him in their playoffs, or the final week of their regular season, were ready to get some solid points out of the Washington Commanders' RB against the New York Giants.
And then the reporting came out Saturday night that Rodriguez is iffy.
ESPN's Adam Schefter wrote this on X:
"Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a groin injury, plans to test his injury in pre-game warmups to see if he can…"

And yep, Schefter used that ellipsis himself. That doesn't bode well for Rodriguez.
The powerful runner Rodriguez has taken over this backfield in recent weeks. If he plays, he's probably fine to trust in fantasy leagues.
But if he doesn't, or if that groin can get tweaked during the game, that's a brutal situation.

Rookie RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt, aka Bill, would probably be pressed back into duty with no Rodriguez, but JCM wasn't that great in his most recent higher-volume weeks. It'd be harder to trust him than it would be to trust Rodriguez.
This is one you'll just have to see the inactive report for.
If Rodriguez plays, start him as you would normally.
If he sits, JCM isn't a terrible pick-up-and-play choice, but his upside doesn't feel quite as high as Rodriguez.
