There won't be any escaping the Terry McLaurin conversation in Washington.
The Commanders' star wide receiver is holding out as he seeks a new contract. And given the expectations for Washington this season, and McLaurin's ability, it's a huge deal.
Commanders defensive leader Bobby Wagner was asked about the situation on Wednesday, and he gave a blunt response, via The Athletic's David Aldridge:
"It's business... and some of the business is not your business."
Wagner with some poetry.

He's right, though.
McLaurin is well within his rights to hold out for more money. He's reportedly seeking in the $32-33 million per year range, about what DK Metcalf got from the Steelers this offseason.
The Commanders may want to bring that number down, given that McLaurin is already 30. They'd certainly like to avoid paying McLaurin for past production but not future production.
The headlines aren't going away until a deal gets done.
