The Tennessee Titans are off to a horrid start to the 2025 season, as Brian Callahan's squad possesses a 0-3 record and has lost by more than two scores at home in two consecutive games.

One of the main issues plaguing the Titans is the play of the offensive line, primarily the tackles. Dan Moore Jr. has been incredibly underwhelming thus far after signing a four-year deal worth $82 million with Tennessee in the offseason. The right tackle position has also been lackluster with JC Latham out with a hip injury.

With the Titans being unable to protect rookie quarterback Cam Ward on a consistent basis, Bleacher Report's Alex Kay proposes a trade that would land the team a promising young offensive tackle in Wanya Morris from the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Morris has fallen out of favor in Kansas City and would likely be available for cheap. Although giving up a draft pick isn't ideal for a rebuilding franchise, the Titans shouldn't spare any expenses in their quest to keep Ward upright and his development on track," Kay wrote.

Though Morris is no longer a starter in Kansas City, as rookie first-round pick Josh Simmons took his spot at left tackle, the 24-year-old would be a tremendous upgrade over Olisaemeka Udoh and John Ojukwu at the depth tackle positions.

In 17 games and 11 starts in 2024, Morris allowed five sacks and 35 quarterback pressures in 453 pass-blocking snaps. The 24-year-old was benched midway through the season for Joe Thuney and has been a backup since for the Chiefs.

Moving on from solid depth pieces on the offensive line isn't usually a wise move, especially for contending teams. However, Morris could have some value on the trade market and fetch Kansas City a respectable return.

The Titans could definitely use Morris, especially if Moore continues to struggle. Although giving up draft capital for a fringe starter in the midst of a rebuild also isn't the best course of action, so Tennessee could be forced to just roll with what they have at offensive tackle.

After a 41-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, the Titans will look to bounce back in Week 4 versus the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium. If the pass protection is once again a liability, general manager Mike Borgonzi may need to consider calling his old team and inquiring about Morris' availability.
