Cam Ward couldn't will his Tennessee Titans to a win on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

But Ward continued to show, one special play at a time, that the Titans got the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft right.

Ward has cleaned up his game in recent weeks, limiting turnovers and throwing more TDs.

"Ward posted his fourth consecutive game with two or more touchdown passes, giving him eight over that stretch," ESPN's Turron Davenport wrote. "This comes after he had thrown only six touchdown passes through the first 12 games. Ward has been intercepted just once over the past four games after getting picked off six times in the first 12 games."

Ward made multiple plays against the Saints that modern football nomenclature would describe as Mahomes-like.

That included one that didn't count, a ridiculous fourth-down diving completion to Tyjae Spears that appeared to extend the drive, only for replay review to show that Ward's knee had barely grazed the ground before he got rid of the football.

Ward completed passes to nine different players on Sunday.

He's got an impressive young core around him. The Titans have a pair of talented rookie WRs in Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor. Rookie tight end Gunnar Helm has also had his moments.

This Titans team may just be set up for a quicker rise to contention than anyone would've thought -- certainly if Ward keeps playing like this.
