The Tennessee Titans' offense is off to a putrid start to the 2025 season and the team can ill-afford to not have wide receiver Calvin Ridley on the field.

However, the team is in danger of that happening in the Week 5 game against the Arizona Cardinals, as Ridley is dealing with knee and elbow injuries.

Ridley did not take part in practice over the first two days of the week before he was a limited participant on Friday, which led to him drawing the questionable tag and having a path to suit up.

Here's what we know about Ridley's status for Week 5.

Is Calvin Ridley playing today?

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Ridley is expected to suit up on Sunday, but the team is going to wait to make an official decision until it sees how he does in pre-game warm-ups.

"Titans WR Calvin Ridley, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a knee and elbow injuries, is likely to play vs. the Cardinals, but the team still needs to see how he feels pre-game first, per source," Schefter reported early Sunday morning.

While Ridley ranks second on the team in receiving yards through four games, it has been a tough start to the season for him overall.

Ridley has not topped 57 yards in any game this season and he has three contests with 30 or fewer yards through the air. He has also yet to score a touchdown in 2025.

Regardless, having Ridley on the field is big for the Titans, as he's their best and most proven receiver and rookie quarterback Cam Ward needs all hands on deck.

Calvin Ridley start or sit advice

While the Cardinals are a somewhat favorable matchup as a near middle-of-the-road defense in terms of fantasy points allowed to wide receivers per contest, Ridley is not a suggested start barring a desperate situation.

Ranked as WR73 through four contests, according to Fantasy Pros, Ridley is well off the starting map for now.

That said, if you're one of the unlucky owners who has been bitten by the injury bug at wide receiver this season, or if you're dealing with a byes there's room to justify inputting him in lineups, but we would not do so over anyone who has shown more of a pulse.

Verdict: Sit Ridley
