The return of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is drawing near.
Evans suffered a broken collarbone all the way back in Week 7 and has been sidelined and on injured reserve ever since.
However, Evans was designated to return from injured reserve this week and has since been able to practice, putting him on the road to his return to the field.
That said, just because Evans is practicing this week doesn't mean he's going to make his return to the field in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints.
Here's everything we know heading into the weekend.
Will Mike Evans play in Week 14?
UPDATE: We now have our answer on wide receiver Mike Evans.
Bucs head coach Todd Bowles revealed that Evans will not play in Week 14, nor will fellow wideout Jalen McMillan.
END OF UPDATE
We don't have a definitive answer just yet, but Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times Rick Stroud reports that Evans "could play Sunday."
Stroud adds that Evans was once again taking part in practice on Friday and will likely be limited, although that doesn't mean he won't suit up.
"Bucs WR Mike Evans is back at practice Friday. He’s been limited but could play Sunday," Stroud reported.
Evans is the kind of experienced vet who doesn't need a full practice during the week to play, something we've seen several times over the course of his career.
If Evans turns in a full practice on Friday, he'll probably be a lock to play. If he is indeed limited again, he'll still be up in the air, barring a confirmation from the Buccaneers after practice.
We'll know more about where Evans stands after the Bucs drop their final injury report later in the day.
