Ever since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 2025 season came to an end, attention has turned to the future of head coach Todd Bowles.

With fans making their voices heard on what they want to happen, we haven't much in the past couple of days other than Bowles saying his job is to make the team better when asked about his future.

But now we have clarity on the entire situation.

Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times offered a huge update on Bowles' future.

"When asked if he was officially back as Bucs head coach for 2026, Bowles confirmed he was in a text message to the Tampa Bay Times," Stroud wrote. "Bowles also confirmed there will be some changes to his coaching staff."

So, there you have it, Bucs fans. Bowles will be back in 2026.

Bowles is back in the saddle

We aren't sure how this news will land with the Buccaneers fans, but with Bowles under contract until 2028, it would have been a huge financial outlay from the franchise to cut ties.

But after multiple division titles and playoff appearances, the manner in which the Buccaneers fell away in the second half of this season was worrying.

Yes, injuries played their role once again, and the Buccaneers, at 8-9, missed the postseason.

So is it a blip on the radar or the sign of things coming crashing down?

Either way, Bowles will get 2026 to rectify the horror show that was the 2025 season.
