The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a chance to re-establish themselves in the NFC pecking order against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night, but they were blown off the field.

A 34-7 loss was bad, so too was losing Baker Mayfield to a shoulder injury, as Tampa Bay has now lost three straight games and is in freefall.

That isn't a great spot to be at this point in the season, and for Teddy Bridgewater, who had to come in after Baker's injury, things aren't good right now, but he knows there will be a response from the locker room after such a poor defeat.

"Yeah, it's a ton of disappointment, if you go in that locker room, if you listen to the speeches after the game, you get a feel for that disappointment," Bridgewater said. "You'll see it this week in practice. I'm pretty sure guys level of player will be raised, the standard will be raised around here for players, and coaches."

Buccaneers face must-win vs. Cardinals

It goes without saying that the Buccaneers have to stop the slide against the Arizona Cardinals.

Depending on how Mayfield progresses through the week, it could be Bridgewater's show in Week 13, so all the pressure will be on him to get this team out of its current funk.

The Cardinals aren't exactly in good form either, sitting at 3-8 and on their own three-game losing streak, so this has all the makings of a "get right" game for Tampa Bay...and it needs it.

Bridgewater stated the Buccaneers have "hit a wall" and now is the time for the franchise to pull together and take down Arizona, because the NFC South is now a tight race, and with Todd Bowles' team still to face the Carolina Panthers twice, this will go right down to the wire.

Teddy says there will be a response. Let's see it against Arizona.
