All eyes will be on injured Tampa Bay Buccaneers duo Chris Godwin and Bucky Irving this week as the star duo pushes to make their long-awaited returns from injury.

With the Buccaneers in action against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night, Tampa Bay could use all the firepower it can get going against Sean McVay's team.

But first, Irving and Godwin have to not only practice, but get through it unscathed. Given how long the pair have been out for, a ramp-up period is underway.

However, as we now approach the middle of the week, are Bucky and Chris trending towards playing no Sunday?

"We're going to up their reps this week and ramp them up and kind of see where they are," Bowles said. "So, we'll get a good idea tomorrow and Friday on exactly where they are."

Given that Bowles stated the pair will be ramped up in their reps at practice, it is a good sign for them to trend towards playing.

Now, that doesn't mean they will play on Sunday, but the fact that more is being put on their plate sends the message that they have dealt with whatever the coaching staff has already thrown at them.

With still a few practices left, it will be crucial to see how the pair recover, and in truth, whether there is any discomfort or not will be pivotal in the Buccaneers giving the green light for the duo to return.

Tampa Bay won't want to rush the pair back, but at 6-4 and losing three of their last four games, there is a sense of urgency right now for the NFC South champs.

All eyes will be on Tampa Bay in the coming days to see how its two star weapons fare as they prepare to return.
